Es besagt, dass Freihandel für alle beteiligten Wirtschaftsakteure von Vorteil ist, wenn sich jeder Akteur auf die Produktion des Gutes spezialisiert, für das er einen komparativen Kostenvorteil bzw. den geringsten komparativen Nachteil hält.
