Over the last decade, there has been a tremendous improvement in our understanding of basic cardiac electrophysiology. Most introductory ECG books teach via pattern recognition and do not incorporate new pathophysiologic information.
There is a great need for a simple book that teaches electrocardiography from a pathophysiologic basis. The proposed paperback book will be small format, concise, and 200-pages in length. It can be utilized as a reference - chapter by chapter or read throughout for an overview. Each chapter will feature ten questions that will provide a chapter review. Ten case studies will be highlighted at the end of the book that will integrate the multiple principles of electrocardiography.

In addition to cereals, grain legumes are an integral part of the human diet and provide sustainable income for smallholder farmers in the arid and semi-arid regions of the world. Among grain legumes, the chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is the second most important in terms of production and productivity. Besides being a rich source of proteins, it can ?x atmospheric nitrogen through symbiosis with rhizobia and increase the input of combined nitrogen. Several abiotic stresses like drought, heat, salinity, together with biotic stresses like Fusarium wilt, Ascochyta blight, and Botrytis grey mould have led to production losses, as the chickpeas is typically grown in the harsh climates of our planet's semi-arid regions.

Since the publication of the first edition of Cardiac Pacing for the Clinician, the use of implantable cardiac devices has expanded rapidly. "Spatial Processing in Navigation, Imagery and Perception" Since the decade of the brain cognitive processes have found their way to the study of brain functions and an increasing number of research studies are dealing with the aspect of spatial processing. In fact, a tremendous part of the cognitive domains studied pertain to spatial processing. However, there is also a growing tendency for diversification in relation to the subprocesses underlying spatial processing. Not only are there studies looking at the well known place cells in rats, rabbits and other animals, there is also an increasing number of studies looking at related topics in humans and monkeys such as spatial orientation, spatial construction, and spatial imagery. These studies, although diverse at first glance, have many aspects in common. We are now on the root to understand the underlying neuroanatomy and neurophysiology much better than ever before. This is made possible by the advent of novel techniques such as structural and functional in vivo anatomy, modeling, and several sophisticated behavioral research tools such as virtual reality techniques and simulators. Spatial processing is fundamental for understanding human cognition. However, compared to other domains such as memory, language, and attention the exploration of spatial functions has been understudied in the past years.

Over the past decade, community schools similar to those supported by Save the Children have been established in many developing countries, and especially in sub-Saharan Africa. As large numbers of children attend schools started and managed by their own communities and/or by nongovernmental organizations, questions have come up about the impact of such schools at large scale: "Can village-based or community schools have a national impact on access to education, spur improved long-term development strategies and education policy, or achieve or influence Education for All? This book explores these and related questions, drawing on Save the Children's experience with community-based schooling in four countries: Ethiopia, Malawi, Mali, and Uganda. The literature on community schools in Africa tends to be sparse, repetitive and highly descriptive with little or no sustained critique of practice.
